Ballroom Dancing for Kids

Ages 6-17

Arthur Murray has been teaching the world to ballroom dance for over 100 years and we are proud to build the next 100 years through our Ballroom Dancing for Kids Program! 

You will be pleased with the ease of progress, and enjoyment your child will experience through qualified and enthusiastic instruction.  Ballroom dancing is a fun and easy introduction to music and dance. 

Ballroom dancing is offered to dancers ages 6-17 years old.  No partner is needed to participate and no experience is necessary! 

Each course includes 8 Group Lessons (approximately 2 months).

Dancing is about more than the steps – it is also a powerful tool for many important long term life skills! Besides having tons of FUN, your kids will:

(Cannot be combined with other offers, private lessons and group sessions are 45 minutes in length.)

Course Includes:

8 Formal Ballroom Dance Classes

Students will learn 2-3 dances per course that will be chosen from the core dances of Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Swing.

 Tuition per student: $170*

*Enrollment and tuition is due before the start of the first class. There are no refunds for missed classes.

Classes start on the first Tuesday of every month.

Q: WHY SHOULD MY CHILD DANCE?

A: Dancing has many benefits socially, emotionally and physically for individuals of all ages. Dancing helps people develop better social skills, builds confidence as well as helps prevent against diseases by adding mental and physical exercise to daily activities. Dancing also builds discipline, a trait that can be seen in many other walks of life.

Q: DO I NEED A PARTNER TO TAKE A CLASS?

A: You do not need a partner to take an Arthur Murray class. During group classes, instructors make sure everyone gets a chance to dance with someone, regularly switching partners between combinations.

Q: WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS?

A: Usual attire for classes includes: Form fitting shirt, flexible dress pants/dance pants for boys, skirts for ladies, leather/rubber soled dance shoes.

Q: WHAT DANCES WILL MY CHILD LEARN?

A: They may learn basics to Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Swing, Salsa, Rumba, Cha Cha, Hustle and more!
